Carbide Hobs

Carbide hobs are popular industry components.  Carbide hobs grades are classified by the recommended working conditions rather than the material they are composed of.  The three series of carbide hobs available are solid carbide fine pinch gear hobs, hobs for skiving hardened teeth and hobs for high speed hobbing.  Most hobs inserts used for turning operations are provided with edge preparation.  Contact us to determine whether wet or dry use is suitable for your needs.

Module Hobs

Module hobs are intended for hobbing of spur and helical gears, sprockets, worm wheels, and spline shafts.  These hobs can be used for both semifinish machining of teeth for further shaving, as well as for finish machining.  Accuracy of these components provides the gears with the utmost quality.  Parker Industries offers these hobs in DP series and CP series.  Various forms such as non topping, semi topping and others are produced in our factory.  Typical applications of these hobs include household devices, particularly kitchen appliances.

Involute Spline Hobs

Parker Industries offers involute spline hobs with or without lugs, with or without shoulder clearance, or with or without semi topping in finish or pre grinding types.  Involute spline hobs are designed to provide given chamfer on gear, TIF diameter of gear and relief required for shaving cutters.  These hobs are also supplied in bore and shank type as well as single and multi start ground form spine.  To learn more about the hobs we offer, like our DP hobs and other products such as our concentricity gages, complete a request for quote form.
