We design and manufacture master gears to the highest standards by using frequently inspected and specifically designed grinding machines and equipment. Master gears provide a full functional test of all features of components. Functional gear testing, also referred to as total radial composite deviation, is a method of monitoring the total effect of gear errors. Master gears are often made from 01 tool steel and hardened to 60-62 Rc, but can be supplied in other steels as well as carbide if required. Parker Industries is able to supply both spur master gears and helical master gears to standards such as American: ANSI/AGMA 2000-A88 and AGMA 390.03, AGMA 2015-A01, British: B.S. 3696 and B.S. 3696/1, German: DIN 3970, 3960-63, and Din 58420, ISO-1328-1 and 2, as well as Japanese: J.I.S. 1751 and JIS B1720.
